Getting started
AfriNum lets you get virtual phone numbers for OTP verification. You need an account and a funded wallet to make purchases.
Go to the Register page and create your account with your name and email address.
Check your inbox and click the verification link to activate your account.
Sign in and fund your wallet from the Wallet page. Minimum top-up is $5.
Navigate to Virtual Numbers or Rentals to make your first purchase.
Funding your wallet
All purchases on AfriNum are made from your wallet balance. Funding is done in Naira through Paystack.
Go to the Wallet page from the navigation menu.
Click one of the quick-amount buttons ($5, $10, $20, $50, $100, $200) or type a custom amount.
Click Fund Wallet. A Paystack payment popup will appear.
Complete payment using your card, bank transfer, or USSD.
Your wallet is credited instantly. The transaction appears in your history.

Buying a virtual number
Virtual numbers are for receiving one-time passwords. Each number is active for ~20 minutes.
Go to Virtual Numbers and search for or browse the service you want (e.g. WhatsApp).
Click the service to see available countries and pricing.
Select a country. You'll see BASIC, STANDARD, and PREMIUM tier options with different prices and operator quality.
Choose a tier and confirm the purchase in the order modal.
Your number appears instantly. Open the app or service and enter the number to request the OTP.
The OTP will appear in your dashboard automatically. Copy it and complete verification.
Tip: If the number doesn't receive an OTP within the window, cancel it from My Numbers for an automatic full refund.
OTP inbox
The OTP Inbox page shows all your numbers and their received messages in one place.
Navigate to OTP Inbox from the top navigation or your dashboard.
Active numbers show a pulsing indicator. OTPs appear automatically — no manual refresh needed.
Click the copy icon next to any OTP to copy it to your clipboard.
Click the refresh icon to manually trigger a check if you think an OTP may have arrived.
Click the X icon to cancel an active number and receive your refund.
Number rental
Rent a real international number for 1–56 days to receive ongoing SMS messages.
Go to Rentals and select a country.
Choose a service (e.g. WhatsApp) and a rental duration (1–56 days).
Confirm the purchase. Your rented number is provisioned immediately.
Use the number anywhere you need a persistent SMS-receiving line.
Check incoming messages from the Rentals page or OTP Inbox at any time.
API access
Coming soonWe're working on a public REST API that will let developers integrate AfriNum number purchasing directly into their own applications and automation workflows.
Planned features include: programmatic number purchase, OTP polling webhooks, wallet balance queries, and bulk operations. API access will be key-based and available on request.
